This site is attempting to collect together all
the information regarding the various electric
multiple units (EMUs) that have been used, or
are being used, by the various railway companies
of the UK. I would be happy to receive corrections or new information richard@internet-here.net I must stress that the information contained in this website is a collation of information gathered from the references listed. My thanks to the listed authors for all their hard work which has enabled this website to be created. The intention is to produce a complete history of all the EMUs used within the UK but as this is very much a 'labour of love' it is expected to take a number of years to complete. Initial efforts will concentrate on getting the information online rather than producing a colourful web site. Recent updates Now that I am retired and settled in my new home I have recommenced adding information to the site. My intention is to add all of the information I have regarding the pre-1938 standard stock first. 27/11/2019 - all the information I currently have on the pre-1938 tube motor cars added to the site. Control trailer information added 09/12/2019. Trailer information has now been added. Bit of a diversion as I have found a useful article on the Cammell Laird stock. (UN # 312). Information on control trailers completed 30/11/2019, trailers completed 01/12/2019 |
